at (unofficial) 253 mph.
(In 2010 a Veyron 16.4

A Tuatara set a new record for 'Fastest Production Car' reaching
a top speed of 331.15mph, and
averaging 316.11mph (two-way)
on a closed road near Las Vegas. — SSC.
Later: "... There [had been] a genuine mistake in how the capturing equipment
was setup ... In 2021, the Tuatara reclaimed the world record for SSC, with
an average of 282.9 MPH. ..."
