1949:
The 80" station wagon was built on a short wheel base Land-Rover
but had a coach-built body of aluminium panels over a wooden frame.
There were the usual 3 seats in the front, and 4 seats
in the rear facing into the centre.
The Land-Rover 80" station wagon was expensive
to build and only had a short run.
Some did come to Australia including two that were used
on the Snowy Mountains Scheme.
Land-Rover later built much more economical
SWB station wagons on
86" and
88"
chassis using the (then) ordinary hard-top bodies as starting points -

Here is listed the part changes on 80" Station Wagons.
Most of these parts were common to the Basic
Model, so even though the vehicle is quite rare
most the changed parts shouldn’t be to much to worry
about.
The left hand column shows the chassis number
of the vehicle on which the parts changed.
The right hand column describes which parts changed and how they changed.
